NEYO'S SONGS FOR MICHAEL JACKSON PLUS HIS EXCITEMENT ABOUT WRITING JENNIFER HUDSONS NEXT ALBUM

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 28, 2009
Ne-Yo, who was writing "melodic" songs for Michael Jackson's comeback album until -- well, you know what happened -- tells New York magazine he's undecided as to what to do with the music, since the songs were specifically written for his idol, Michael.“It’s sitting there, waiting to either come out on someone else or not come out at all," he said. "I don’t know. I’m kind of on the fence because it was music that was meant to go to Michael, so I would kind of feel funny about giving it to someone else. Some people have been like, ‘Well, why don’t you release it yourself?’ Same reason. Because it was supposed to go to Mike. So I don’t know. I’ll sit and listen to it again and figure out what I want to do.”What he's definitely sure about, though, is writing Jennifer Hudson's entire sophomore album and changing her sound up a bit.“I’m quite probably going to be executive-producing her whole project," he told the magazine. "She wants this one to be a lot more personal than the last one was. And she’s had a lot of stuff to deal with, personally. The marriage; she just had a baby; and, you know, the whole.... A lot of things to talk about. So we’re gonna take all of these experiences and turn them into music, somehow.”
The checks never stop coming in for him and we gotta congratulate.

SCOTT STORCH SAY'S HE & KIM KARDASHIAN WERE AN ITEM, PLUS DETAILS ABOUT HIS COCAINE ADDICTION

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 21, 2009

Scott Storch's rise and fall from the top has been well documented. From being labeled the "hip-hop's Liberace" to losing his Miami mansion, the producer's fall from grace played out in the media. However, he's emerged from rehab and seems to be on the road to recovery.
In a recent piece with Style.com, Storch opened up about how he managed to amass a fortune of over $70 million to almost losing it all.
According to Storch, a party in Los Angeles in 2005 -- where he was first introduced to cocaine -- was the beginning of the end. He says a friend (who he didn't identify) pulled him into the bathroom, gave him a line, and from there, he was hooked.
That night turned into an eight-ball a day addiction, or more. In the process, he picked up an entourage of 10 to 12 people who became his new best friends, who he supported and hung around daily. His $10 million Miami mansion became a drug den, and when they got bored there, a private jet was on call and they'd take the party elsewhere.
"We'd be at a club and I'd decide to take everyone to Las Vegas," Storch recalls. "Do more coke, f*** a bunch of girls. Be up for two days and decide at 11 in the morning to go buy a Rolls-Royce. I probably bought 10 cars when I was high."
At one time, Storch commanded around $100,000 per beat, making him a very wealthy man. But, his party lifestyle got out of control, and he blew through almost all of his fortune like it was growing on trees.
"It was out of control," he told Style. "I was clubbing, drunk, and had more money than I knew what to do with ... I was burning through about $250,000 a month, mostly on partying," he added. "I was spending money I had no business spending."
It eventually got the best of him. The more he was high, the more his craft suffered. Even Storch admits, he couldn't create hits while high.
"Sure, it was fun. But the thing is, I didn't make one good bit of music when I was high on coke. Not one bit."
Later in the conversation, Storch talked about some of his conquests. One of the his biggest was ... Kim Kardashian, who he says "was amazing." She's denied the claims though.

R&B LEGEND GLADYS KNIGHT DOESN'T LIKE HIP-HOP

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 21, 2009
R&B Legend Gladys Knight isn't feeling hip-hop music whatsoever.
According to The Boom Box, the 65-year-old singer expressed her distaste for the genre of music during an interview in support of her role in the new Tyler Perry film, "I Can Do Bad All By Myself."
She says hip-hop has negatively impacted the black community due to its strong lyrics.
"It's been bad, in my opinion, as far as the quality of the music and the stories that they tell. It's one thing to be raw about your history, but they took it to another level and it became vulgar," Knight said.
Despite the skyrocketing popularity of the genre, Knight says its never "elevated our industry musically."
She goes on to say that hip-hop's effect on the black community has not been positive, claiming its "lowered our self-esteem."
"It definitely has not elevated us as African-Americans, because we show disrespect for our partners, men and women," Knight explained. "I believe we have lowered our self-esteem with these performances and presentations."
Ironically, Knight's music has been sampled by some of hip-hop's elite, such as the Wu-Tang Clan, Lauryn Hill, Ice Cube and Big Daddy Kane.
She is currently prepping a European tour in October.

AMBER ROSE GETS STYLED BY KANYE FOR ELLE SPREAD

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 16, 2009
Kanye West's arm candy keeps upping her profile, as she continues to land magazine article after magazine article. Her most recent spread can be seen in the October issue of Elle, where she is seen in an ensemble that is styled by Kanye himself.
In the spread and article Rose talks about fashion choices with her man, their disagreements and more. One incident came when they attended the 125th Anniversary Gala of the Met. Kanye wanted her to wear a gown, but she chose to rock a white Alexander Wang wrap dress with a thigh-flashing slit.
"I didn't want to wear a long gown," Rose says. "So then we get to the Met and everybody has a long gown. I was like, great. I didn't know what the Met was!"
While some may think Amber's fashion sense is too out there, somebody likes what she's doing, because she's reportedly landed a deal to launch her own line of sunglasses.

WHITNEY ADMITS SHE WAS A CRACKHEAD!

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 11, 2009
To say the entire planet is looking forward to the 24th season premier of Oprah featuring the much-anticipated interview with Whitney Houston will be an understatement. Everyone wants to hear what Whitney said during her first interview in seven years.

According to Oprah, who appeared on Good Morning America this morning, Whitney talks, talks, and talks.

"She said she wanted to tell her story," Oprah told Diane Sawyer, who did the last interview with Whitney in 2002. "She wanted to tell the truth. She gave it up. She talked about difficulty in her marriage [to Bobby Brown], how that started. She talked about the drugs, she talked about what drugs she was doing. ...There wasn't a question I asked that she didn't answer."

And for the first time, Whitney reportedly admits to smoking crack, which contradicts previous reports that will avoid the subject.

"It will leave you gasping. She does not blame Bobby Brown and she takes full responsibility for her engagement in drugs," the UK Sun reports. "At one point she says, 'I didn't get out of my pajamas for seven months.' She talks about when it started to go wrong after The Bodyguard - that was a long time ago. The thing most shocking to me is that Whitney tried to make herself smaller to fit in a marriage so the man could be bigger. How many women have done that? I deeply felt for her. She was trying to be the good wife. She really, truly loved him. She talks about doing the drugs and sitting in the house the two of them going, 'What are we doing?' "

This interview will be epic! Here's a small clip.

KERI HILSON COVERS COMPLEX MAGAZINE AUGUST/SEPTEMBER '09 ISSUE

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

August 4, 2009
Ms. Keri “Baby” Hilson covers the Complex Magazine Aug/Sept ‘09 issue.

Kid Cudi is on the other side. This is the Style & Design issue.

So does Keri Hilson and Kid Cudi come to mind when you think about Style & Design? We know Cudi is really into fashion and sneakers. As for Keri, we think she has a swagger too.

An artist by the name of So-Me hooked up Keri’s artwork. He’s also done a number of videos for Kanye West. Check a bit of what she had to say in Complex.

How do you feel about your album and the way people are receiving it? It’s tough out here right now.
Keri Hilson: It’s doing very well. Especially given this industry—even though the business is hurting, the album is still achieving its projections. I’m proud of the album, but you can never expect how the world will receive you or your music.
So far, your biggest hits have been performed by other artists—Britney Spears, Omarion. Does that fact bother you at all?
Keri Hilson: No, it’s money in the bank. That’s my means of living. There’s two sides of me, and neither takes preference. One is just a dream that I fought long and hard for. Songwriting was my Plan B. My whole life, I’ve fought to just do this. I didn’t know that I’d be able to take off as far, or as fast, as I did, but I knew I had a talent and that I should pursue it, because there’s money in it. When I wasn’t able to perform, and lost the record deal, I took the path of Plan B, and now I love them equally. I can’t have one without the other. Even at my biggest, I want to be writing for other artists. Even at my peak—the highest I can be as an artist—I always want to be keeping my creative juices flowing, keeping money in the bank, putting my intellectual property out there.
Your singles, “Energy” and “Turnin Me On,” are remarkably different from each other.
Keri Hilson: I was very wary of that. Years ago, I wanted to be like the girl Ne-Yo. You know, with the mid-tempo ballads—I come from the Babyface era. But that’s not trendy, that’s not hip-hop. These days, you have to play it a different way. “Turnin Me On” did things that “Energy” could not have done in this day and time.

KANDI BURRUSS' ENGAGEMENT MAY BE OFF

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

August 4, 2009
On last week's season premier of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Kandi Burruss flaunted her fiance AJ -- you know the one with the six children and her mother doesn't approve of.
Now, in an interview with E!, it seems like that engagement may be over. Kaput. Done.

E!: Will we see your wedding on camera?
No, uh-uh, it didn't get that far. You will see us trying to plan, but you will see a lot of the problems and the different issues that are going on.
Have you set a date?
We haven't set a date, and I'm just going to be real with you: We have been having serious issues. My drama has been ongoing since the taping has stopped. We just got engaged right before the taping of the show. So things that I would have to deal with or things I would have to learn about, I had to learn about and deal with it while the cameras were there, which makes things even more tense, you know what I mean?

Of course, but are you still together?
Um, we are dealing with things, but that's about as far as I can go.

You know we hate to gossip, but Kandi does have a very [clears throat] interesting past with men! We over here at Louisiana Paparazzi will be keeping the camera's on these two for more updates!

MO'NIQUE: 'I LIKE TO CHEW. I'M A CHEWER'

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

August 3, 2009
When Mo'Nique's late-night talk show debuts this fall on BET, she will be a few pounds lighter, but she's never going "skinny".
“It’s OK to be big, but let’s be big and healthy,” she said. “I started at 262 pounds, and now I’m between 220-224. ... I want to meet my grandkids. So that’s why I had to lose some of the weight. Get myself into shape. I want to be here. I didn’t want to go through any surgeries. I wanted to make the commitment to myself to do it … and I’m enjoying the journey....I can’t get too much smaller because my head is big.”

These comments came while speaking with press about her upcoming show, and as for those skinny girls?

“Are skinny women still evil? I’m going to say yes. Because they’re hungry!” she said. “That’s why I can’t lose all that weight. I like to chew. I’m a chewer! … I’m used to my mouth moving, that’s why I’m a talk-show host.”

NAS: I DESERVE A TROPHY FOR BEING A GOOD HUSBAND, DAD!

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

August 3, 2009
In an interview with the Straight to promote his show in Canada last weekend, Nas took the time to address the rumors flooding the internet about his relationship with soon-to-be-ex-wife Kelis.
It’s funny that someone would even care about some Nasir Jones shit,” he told the magazine. “I’m still that kid from the block at the end of the day.… So when I watch this shit, it’s surreal. We get a good laugh off it and say, ‘Hey, they’re talking about me again and it’s some funny shit.’...I heard that I was a cheater....It almost sounds like I was a bad husband. Not to say I was the greatest — I’m not perfect in anything I do — but I think I deserve a fucking trophy. If I do say so myself, without sounding too cocky, I gotta say I was a hell of a husband and a hell of a dad.....It’s unfortunate when business is out there about your personal shit, especially when you’re really not the guy to be having his shit out there. The sad thing is, you’ve got to get used to it. My skin is so thick that I probably need to write a book for people who are not ready for anything crazy.”
And there you have it folks.... You can kiss Nas's azz!

DRAMA: 'THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA' KANDI AND NENE START BEEFING ON RADIO INTERVIEW!

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

July 31, 2009

Our favorite housewife NeNe Leakes called into the Ryan Cameron Show yesterday, where Kandi Burruss was a guest. She wanted to clear a few things up -- as we know NeNe is prone to do 'cause she's that kinda girl.

When NeNe appeared on Wendy Williams's talk show a couple weeks ago to promote the second season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta", she said matter-of-factly that she wasn't friends with any of the castmates and she didn't know who Kandi was.

Now, the claws are out.

If you love drama -- and we know you do -- you must listen to this ish!

BRAD PITT DOESN'T BELIEVE IN GOD!

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

July 23, 2009

In a quickie interview with BILD magazine, Brad Pitt talked about his sex life with Angelina ("It’s very important for every relationship.”); wealth (“It makes everything easier, but money can also be a burden.“); his prized possessions ("My family - and yes a couple of my motorbikes.“), but he also said this:

BILD: Do you believe in God?

Brad Pitt (smiling): “No, no, no!”

BILD: Is your soul spiritual?

Brad Pitt: “No, no, no! I’m probably 20 per cent atheist and 80 per cent agnostic. I don’t think anyone really knows. You’ll either find out or not when you get there, until then there’s no point thinking about it

.Angelina is also rumored to be an atheist, too, so we guess that solves the problem of how to raise their six children or which church or synagogue to attend.

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

July 20, 2009

To us Superhead is just another commercial trollop trying to cash in on her past sexual exploits with athletes and celebrities. But, to The Today Show, she is a relationship expert.

And what’s with her claiming to have two sons now? Blah, maybe this is just another lie that she is trying to pass off as a truth. Anyway, we ain't mad at the broad. It's a recession out there!

NIA LONG CALLS OUT BEYONCE, SAY'S SHE CAN'T ACT!!!

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

July 17, 2009
In the July ‘09 issue of Pride (UK equivalent to Essence), actress Nia Long has lashed out at singers pretending to be actors and speaks on how the craft has suffered due to it. Peep what she said:
Asked what she thought about Beyonce’s performance in Obsessed:

“I didn’t see ‘Obsessed,’ so I can’t comment” she says “but it’s just not about how talented you are anymore. It’s about, ‘How much box-office revenue will this person generate?’ When you see certain people – we won’t name names – they just don’t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, ‘You need acting classes’”

She says there are some exceptions in Hollywood:
“If you take time to develop your craft, God bless you. Jamie Foxx is an example of both [actor and singer].”
On the quality of roles Hollywood offers Black actresses:
“If you were able to take all the Black actresses and the choices we’ve made collectively, it’s a pure reflection of what you see on film. People need to work. But the content? The opportunities for Black actresses are more widespread today, but the quality has suffered,” she offered.

You can catch Nia Long doing voice work on the anticipated new cartoon series, “The Cleveland Show” later on this year.

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

July 13, 2009
In a tell all interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Antonia ''Toya'' Carter talked about her relationship with Wayne and new reality show, 'Tiny & Toya.' We must say, we have found a new respect for Toya, after reading her interview. Apparently, this chick still loves Lil Wayne but can't be with him. She also talked about her relationship with Nivea saying that she is the only woman that Lil Wayne talks to that she will allow her daughter to be around. She also said that they talk all the time…. As for Lauren London, we will have to wait and see! This is part of what Toya said:

''I cried many nights, you know what I am saying? But I knew I had to do what I had to do. Like, I can’t be somewhere that’s not healthy for me. I can’t be in a relationship that’s not healthy.''

THE DREAM CONFIRMS NIVEA'S PREGNANT FOR LIL WAYNE

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:
July 13, 3009
The Dream sort’ve confirmed that his ex wife Nivea was pregnant with Lil Wayne’s baby in a recent interview.

''I’ve never met him,'' The Dream says of Lil Wayne. ''We’re somewhere in the grey area I guess, cause we haven’t had the chance to talk. But I wish him and Nivea the best. If marriage comes up then we’ll definitely need to have a conversation. But right now we don’t need to, cause even though she’s pregnant, there’s no real commitment between them, to the point where we’d need to have a conversation.''
What does The Dream have to speak to Lil Wayne about? ( outside of his kids of course). We are not sure we feeling the fact that men are always trying to regulate what happens in their baby mamas/ex-wives new relationships. We are more interested in knowing if The Dream had a talk with Nick Cannon when he decided to wife up Milian since he works so closely with Mariah and all ??? For real, for real!

VIDEO: LIL WAYNE BLAMES LABEL FOR "REBIRTH" DELAY

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

July 9, 2009

Louisiana's own, Grammy- award winning rapper Lil Wayne, recently addressed his long-awaited Rebirth delay and said the project has been completed for some time.

In addition to speaking on the new album, Weezy also discussed the motivation behind his Kobe Bryant-based tribute song last month and the upcoming Hot Boys reunion.
"The album is done," Wayne said in an interview. "It's ready to go. Just waiting on the label to press it up and ship it...[The song,] Kobe inspired that. I hit him up, texted him, during the play-offs and was like, 'I'ma do a song called 'You Can't Guard Me,' and he was like do it. And I did it. [The Hot Boys reunion], it's true. We're working on it right now. Everything looks like it's a go. We're just waiting on Turk to get out [of prison] and once that goes, then we're good. [He should be out] soon, soon. I'm not sure of the exact date, but very soon." (Street Gangs)
Wayne previously said Rebirth would show fans a deeper side of himself. Check out the video below.
