JAY-Z SAYS LIL MAMA WAS OUT OF LINE, 'T-PAINING' TOO MUCH!

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 25, 2009

Jay-Z didn't say much then, but he was livid after Lil Mama (who?) jumped onstage while he performed with Alicia Keys at the MTV Video Music Awards. In an interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez, Jay-Z says he was "angry" with the interruption especially after putting in so many hours of preparation."Me, personally, I would never do that. I would never have the nerve to do that. It's just like, someone's up there performing... We went through rehearsals, we did run-throughs and we worked really hard at the performance to put on a show for people and to interrupt that moment for us, you know, I don't think that was the right thing to do....I actually thought it was the equivalent of what Kanye did to Taylor Swift but nobody really talked about that because I'm not a little sweet girl from the middle of America. And I'm cool with her (Lil Mama) being excited and all that but you have to understand, people put in work to make that performance happen, that took weeks the planning of it. If you look at those screens, we had to go to Yankee Stadium to shoot that live, there was a lot of planning. To disrupt that was out of line. I was a little angry to be honest, but what do I do, fight Lil Mama?"

Yes, fight her! Or let Sasha fight her.

Jokes.

50 CENT WEIGHS IN ON KANYA WEST'S VMA'S INCIDENT -- "I'D BLACK HIS EYE"

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 15, 2009
Ok, another person is reacting to Kanye West's rude interruption of Taylor Swift's VMAs moment ... this time it's 50 Cent.
The hip-hop heavyweight recently sat down with Canada's Much Music, weighing in on the Kanye/VMAs debacle.
"That was interesting," 50 said. "When you're nominated for the first time ... what you saw from me in 2004 was the Grammys. When I went up, Evanescence won Best New Artist and it was like, I'd sold 12 million records. That's the largest debuting hip-hop album today and I was overlooked and I still don't have a Grammy. It's been 13 nominations. It's because I wrote [about] the harsh realities, [so] I've been overlooked, completely. So when you got an artist there for the first time and you go and you wanna tell them, 'Well, you know, Beyonce is great.' There's nobody that's confused in that actual area. But Taylor Swift is great and is new."
He goes on to say that no matter how much Kanye apologizes, he can't give Taylor Swift back that moment. Then, Fiddy offers up Kanye a choice next time.
"At that point, you can't replace it," 50 added. "Even an apology can't replace what it feels like for the very first time receiving that award. Now in her head, 'My first award was Kanye West.' And it's damaging. I wish he would come take one of my awards so I can black his eye in front of everybody."

Since the incident on Sunday (September 13), Kanye has been the hot topic across the net. Immediately following his VMAs moment, he's received a lot of backlash, not just from blogs, but also other celebs.
He's offered three apologies -- two from his blog, and one on last night's appearance on the "Jay Leno Show" where he got a emotional as he admitted he was in the wrong.
"Actually someone's emotions that I stepped on and it was very ... it was rude, period. I'd like to be able to apologize to her in person," West said.

PRESIDENT OBAMA CALLS KANYE WEST 'A JACKASS'

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

Damn, Kanye West is getting it from all angles. Even the president didn't like what he did to Taylor Swift at the VMAs.
President Barack Obama reportedly called West "a jackass" in an off-the-record comment during an inerview with CNBC on Monday (September 14).
No one would've known it, but ABC's Terry Moran tweeted about it, making it public news: "President Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential."
Since it became news, ABC issues a statement to Politico.com regarding the issue:
"In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again."
The White House has not made a comment.

MORE VMA DRAMA: WHERE IN THE HELL DID LIL MAMA COME FROM???

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 14, 2009
If you watched Sunday's (September 13) MTV VMAs, you probably noticed that Kanye West wasn't the only one who hopped on stage uninvited. Rapper Lil Mama also decided to grace the stage ... unplanned.
During the show's closing performance, in which Jay-Z and Alicia Keys broke into their song "Empire State of Mind," the "America's Best Dance Crew" judge hopped out of her seat and onto the stage during the song's final seconds.
It wasn't planned and even Jay seemed a little shocked by it.
Jay-Z had gestured for her to chill, and joked she was "T-Paining too much," before he and Alicia Keys struck a pose to end their performance to which Lil Mama awkwardly stood in her b-girl stance beside them, as if it were scripted.

On Monday afternoon (September 14), she sent in a statement to MTV News, explaining what happened.

"I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys," the statement read. "I admire them and look up to them as role models. 'Empire State of Mind' had my emotions running high. In that moment I came up onstage to celebrate my two icons singing about NY."

Her decision helped her become a trending topic on Twitter for the hash mark "#LilMamaIs", where several people went in on the young artist for hours following the ceremony.

Fabolous was one of them, getting in on the jokes about Mama. "#Lilmamais like the dude that parachutes down on the field during a game!" Fab tweeted. "#Lilmamais gonna get security at the stages of every award show from now on. #Lilmamais the bird that flew outta Lady Gaga's nest on her face!!"

Hot mess!

MTV ASKED KANYE WEST TO LEAVE MUSIC AWARDS AFTER ONSTAGE DRAMA!

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI:

September 14, 2009

There's no other way to say it, Kanye is an effing douche!

During last night's MTV Video Music Awards, Krazy Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech to tell her she didn't deserve it.

We. Are. Not. Kidding.

While this isn't the first time he has bitched on an awards show. In 2004 he claimed he should have won best new artist at the American Music Awards and in 2006 at the MTV Europe VMAs he claimed he should have won the award for best video for "Touch The Sky" because it “cost a million dollars” to make. Last night's outburst, however, was just moronic.

According to reports, Taylor was devasted. She was crying and was visibly upset. When Kanye returned to his seat, however, several celebrities told him about himself; he was eventually asked by MTV to leave. Later on in the show Beyoncè, ever so graciously, amended her acceptance speech to let Taylor have her moment...

Taylor later told Us Weekly: ""Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award and then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn't so excited anymore after that....I don't know him, and I've never met him, so... I don't want to start anything because I had a great night tonight."

In case you care, Kanye apologized, then retracted this apology.
Hey, Kanye, thought you said you were going to change the public's perception of you. What happened?
PS: Will you be watching him perform (with Rihanna and Jay-Z) on tonight's premier of The Jay Leno Show?
