Idris Elba hosted the Lincoln After Dark Event at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans over the weekend. The actor was in town for the Essence Music Festival and also DJ’d the event.
Celeb guest included: Steve Stoute, Al Reynolds, Steve Harvey, Brian McKnight and more.

Solange Knowles spotted arriving to a sound check at Essence Music Festival 2009 in New Orleans, this past weekend.
The singer performed during the Festival over the weekend and also hosted an event with friends Estelle & Lala Vazquez, at First Fridays. Her mother, Tina Knowles was also there at the sound check.

LOUISIANA PAPARAZZI has learned a very interesting fact about one of our favorite past time r&b ladies groups!

Veteran R&B group En Vogue is set to celebrate their 20-year anniversary in the music industry with a major media blitz and stint of concert tours.

The quartet - - consisting of original members Cindy Herron-Bragg, Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones -- is set to kick off their first 2009 concert appearance at the 15th Annual Essence Music Festival, overe Independence Day weekend in NEW ORLEANS! En Vogue will share the stage with Beyonce, Maxwell, Anita Baker, Ne-Yo and Lionel Richie. There are also rumors that they are shopping a reunion album with record labels, and possibly developing a new reality series.

NEW ORLEANS IS BACK!!! 2013 NFL SUPER BOWL 47 HOSTED IN LOUISIANA!!!

Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Saints owner Tom Benson says the Super Bowl and his newly acquired New Orleans Center should be a good fit. Benson says he spoke with Governor Bobby Jindal about the city landing the Super Bowl and he says the Governor is almost as happy as he is. Miami dolphin owner Stephen Ross was beaten out in the Super Bowl competition. Yesterday, he questioned if New Orleans was ready. Today, he extended congratulations. Super Bowl RotationNFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says New Orleans may have a tough time getting back into a regular Super Bowl rotation. As he wrapped up the owners' meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Goodell said there is really no such thing as a regular rotation any longer. He says the competition has simply become too great. Dolphins Get GizmosOn another note, the Miami Dolphins have announced their fans will be the first in the country to use an interactive handheld device at their games. Club level patrons will be able to order concessions from the device as well as look up player statistics and view instant replays. For now, Kangaroo Media has an exclusive deal with the Miami Dolphins, but it could expand to other stadiums later.
