You'd think he would've learned his lesson already, especially since he blew threw more than $30 million in the 90s. Today, MC Hammer is facing more financial woes, specifically with the IRS.
According to news channel WYTV, the rapper (real name: Stanley Burrell) allegedly owes upwards of $600,000 in unpaid taxes. Officials have filed three separate liens against him in 2009, equalling $671,182.
The three instances include a lien from the IRS filed in May against Hammer and his wife for $32,926 and a June request from the state of California seeking $12,464 from the star.
The final lien was filed in July, showing that the couple owe the hefty amount of $625,792 to the IRS.
In 1996, Hammer famously declared bankruptcy after squandering his multi-million dollar fortune on his lavish lifestyle.
He's recently launched a reality show called "Hammertime" in June to get his career back on track. However, it seems these new money problems have arisen.
Aside from financial troubles, Hammer's cousin Marvin Gran is facing some serious accusations. He's accused of raping a woman he met on Twitter.
Grant appeared in a court room Monday (August 10) and asked to be assigned a public defender. According to police, Grant and the woman exchanged emails, tweets and phone calls before agreeing to meet up at a hotel July 28. The woman claims he attacked her after she denied his advances.
