CNN continues its investigation of the challenging issues facing African-Americans with its series, “Black in America 2″, hosted by Soledad O’Brien featuring people who are using new, innovative solutions to transform the black experience.
The first part, “Tomorrow’s Leaders”, aired last night and tonight’s “Today’s Pioneers” premieres at 8/9C and includes the story of Louisiana native, actor/director Tyler Perry, the first African-American with a major film/TV studio and his initial battle with Hollywood.
