Master P's brother, rapper C-Murder, pleaded no contest to two counts of attempted second-degree murder on Wednesday (May 27), stemming from a 2001 incident in a Baton Rouge nightclub. According to the New Orleans Time-Picayune, the 38-year-old rapper (real name: Corey Miller) pleaded no contest as a part of a plea deal which will recommend a 10-year sentence. He will be given credit for the time he has already served in jail and under house arrest, and could complete his sentence within months. He was scheduled to appear in court this week, but his attorneys announced the no contest plea in court Wednesday. The rapper will now be sentenced to jail in 90 days. However, C-Murder still faces an unrelated murder charge in Jefferson Parish, stemming from a 2002 incident in which he's accused of killing a 16-year-old boy. He's been serving his time via house arrest for the case after he was convicted in 2003. The Louisiana Supreme Court, however, ordered a new trial after agreeing with a lower court that said the jury in Miller's case should have been made aware of the background of witnesses who testified against the rapper. C-Murder's retrial is scheduled to begin August 3 in the Jefferson Parish case, and he is set to be sentenced August 25 in the Baton Rogue case. He will remain jailed until his next trial.
